“Invasion” features Balkan rhythms in 7 beats. Some of the melody is based on traditional Moldavian folk music.

“Black Sea” makes use of a Brazilian baio beat & feel as well as Eastern European melodic style.

IV. Once Upon a Time in Chernobyl

Mini progressive-folk-rock opera, inspired by the unfortunate Chernobyl disaster in Ukraine in May 1986. The three parts of this peace represent events before, during and after the disaster.

“For Herbie” is dedicated to Herbie Mann, who inspired Alexander while working on his last CD Eastern European Roots. This piece feature Balkan rhythms in 11 beats.

IX. Oj Spala Ja Na Sini
Traditional Carpatho-Russyn song arranged by Alexander Fedoriouk
“Oj Spala Ja Na Sini” translates as “I was sleeping in a haystack..”. This version is a contemporary take on a traditional folk song from the Carpathian region.
